Hello, players! It's me, your favorite ghost-ship stowaway, back with another seasonal guide. As the brisk breezes of late September (or whenever Krafton decides to summon the spooky season in 2026) herald a ghostly resurgence, Halloween Battle Royale returns to the Arcade. And yes, I'm already sharpening my axe, polishing my crossbow, and apologizing to my squad in advance.

Okay, real talk: this mode is not your normal chicken-dinner grind. You transform into a class, board the Ghost Ship, jump into dark Erangel, and fight to be the last squad standing. The first circle appears once you hop on the Ghost Ship. The map is Erangel. The vibe is 'haunted hayride but everyone has superpowers.' TPP only. 20 squads of 4, max 80 players. No XP, no career page, no match history, no replays. It's pure chaotic fun—like a haunted house where the walls can set you on fire.
Choose Your Spooky Job
Once matchmaking finishes, a window pops up. You pick one of four classes: Executioner, Ranger, Pyromancer, or Cleric. There are no class limits per squad, so you can roll four Executioners if you hate strategy and love screaming. But each class needs its own exclusive ingredients to upgrade weapons, rings, and necklaces. Sharing loot is efficient—unless everyone needs the same stuff. Don't @ me.

Executioner
'I'm here for the SLAUGHTERFEST!' The Executioner is a classic melee menace. Default weapon: Axe of Swiftness. At Level 2, you can craft the Halberd of Restraint, which pulls enemies in for a very bad time. Executioners also generate Stun Balls (2-second stun) and Liquid Courage (speed and HP boost). I like to imagine the axe is named 'Kevin' and Kevin has anger issues.
Ranger
'Always stay alert. I might come for you from atop the trees, the thickest undergrowth, or from right behind you.' Rangers are snipers or stealthy assassins. Default: Fatal Crossbow. Alternate at Level 2: Blade of Invisibility, a short-range melee weapon that turns you invisible. Backstabs and invisible attacks deal bonus damage. They also make Snare Traps (root enemies for 5 seconds) and Stun Grenades. The trees have eyes. And a crossbow. And a personal grudge against you.

Pyromancer
'Aah... the smell of burning flesh.' Charming. Pyromancers assault multiple enemies with deadly fire. Default: Gloves of Calamity, which throw Fireballs—high damage, hard to wield. Alternate at Level 2: Hellfire Cannon, which fires infinitely but overheats if you hold the trigger like a maniac. Spells include Firewall (blocks paths) and Meteor Shower (only when necklace is Level 3+). I once dropped a Meteor Shower on my own squad. We don't talk about it.
Cleric
'I'm not a nice doctor; BLEED to HEAL!' The Cleric is an aggressive healer. Default: Mace of Suffering and Aegis of Light. The mace makes enemies bleed, but hitting teammates restores their HP. The shield blocks crossbow attacks. Alternate at Level 2: Triage Shotgun—shoot friends to heal, shoot enemies to debuff. They also get Vitality Bombs and First Aid Kits. It's the only class where 'I'm going to shoot you' is a love language.

Loot, Craft, and Hoard Like a Goblin
Halloween Battle Royale has its own item pool. No normal weapons, ammo, throwables, boosts, or equipment. Bandages still spawn. You'll mostly find ingredients for upgrading weapons, rings, and necklaces. Each class-specific weapon, ring, and necklace given at the start cannot be dropped or traded. Press Tab to open the crafting window. Right-click to upgrade craftable items—they glow up. Since each class has two weapons, you'll see two weapon-crafting routes. Choose wisely, then switch between the two at every upgrade stage if you change your mind.
Treasure Chests fall from the sky like piñatas that fight back. They contain general and Level 5 crafting ingredients. Dropped chests are marked on the map. You have to damage them to open them. The squad that opens and interacts with the chest gets a 10-second invincibility buff. That's your cue to scream 'LEEROY JENKINS' and rush the nearest enemy. Or, you know, use teamwork.

Vehicles, Rules, and the 2026 Vibe
Instead of normal vehicles and planes, the mode only has the 'Night Slayer' UAZ and Ghost Ships. Vehicle speed and HP were nerfed to encourage more dynamic gameplay. Translation: your haunted Uber is slow and fragile, so don't treat it like a tank. The Ghost Ship is basically a floating spawn point with a bad attitude. The circle has a personal vendetta against your squad. The crimson moon watches... and it is not impressed.
In its original run, Halloween Battle Royale was available on PC & Console from September 27, 7 AM to October 10, 7 AM UTC. For 2026, dates may shift, so check official channels. But the classic rules remain a solid blueprint: Arcade mode, Erangel, TPP only, 20 squads of 4, max 80 players, 4-Man Squads only, no XP or gameplay rewards, no career page, no match history, no replays.
My final tip? Communicate. Share ingredients. Don't bring four Executioners and then cry about loot. And if you see a Cleric sprinting at you with a shotgun, remember: they're either about to heal you or make you regret everything. See you on the Battlegrounds. Bring bandages. And maybe a therapist.
