I'll be honest: Spring Fest 2025 in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS turned the battlegrounds into a Greek mythology fever dream, and I still think about some of these cosmetics in 2026. Minotaur, Medusa, Cerberus, and Siren items made ordinary drops feel like chapters from an epic. If you missed it or just want the full breakdown, let me take you through everything I learned.

This event had a lot going on, so I'll split it into the main systems: Contraband Crates, Step Up Package, Crafter Pass, Workshop crafting, Loot Cache Packs, and event missions. Keep in mind that sales periods were subject to change, and some items may show up again through other in-game platforms.

Contraband Crate and the Minotaur AUG

The Contraband Crate was the centerpiece. It brought Progressive weapon skins and Chromas inspired by Greek mythology, plus always-on effects and a new Panzerfaust skin. The highlight for me was the [PROGRESSIVE] Minotaur - AUG, which maxes out at Level 10.

The leveling path is super satisfying:

  • Lv. 1: Basic skin cosmetics

  • Lv. 2: Headshot kills battlestat

  • Lv. 3: Inspect weapon animation

  • Lv. 4: Magazine / muzzle skin

  • Lv. 5: Uncommon skin cosmetics

  • Lv. 6: Killfeed skin

  • Lv. 7: Grip skin

  • Lv. 8: Loot crate skin

  • Lv. 9: Scope skin

  • Lv. 10: Rare skin cosmetics with a new always-on effect

I won't lie, the jump from Level 9 to Level 10 felt like a full mythic quest. But that always-on effect is a flex. The crate also had scrap-based pickups: the Minotaur AUG for 3,000 Scrap, the Minotaur AUG Gray Tan Chroma for 6,500 Scrap, and the Siren Pan Pink Chroma for 6,500 Scrap. During Spring Fest, the Minotaur - Contraband Crate (Open 10) offered a 50% discount for the first 10 purchases, and the crates could be opened with Spring Fest Vouchers.

You can check probabilities in the Hideout under Contraband, then More Details, then View Probabilities. Always a good idea before you commit your Scrap or G-COIN.

Step Up Package

The Step Up Package was themed around a Siren's enchanting song. It offered multiple items at a discount, and each step could be purchased once per account.

Step Price Contents
Step I 700 G-COIN Siren Step 1 Set
Step II 2,200 G-COIN Siren Step 2 Set
Step III 3,600 G-COIN Siren Step 3 Set
Step IV 5,000 G-COIN Final step reward

The first three steps are named sets, and Step IV closes the bundle. If you like Siren cosmetics, this is a cleaner path than gambling on crates.

Crafter Pass

The Crafter Pass was another huge piece. You could grab rewards like Spring Fest Tokens, Vouchers, Loot Caches, a Prime Parcel, and even G-COIN as you progressed.

Here's what the paid packs included:

  • Basic Pack ($11.99): Premium pass, 1 Spring Fest 2025 Loot Cache, 100 Spring Fest Tokens

  • Advanced Pack ($37.99): Premium pass, 5 Spring Fest 2025 Loot Caches, 300 Spring Fest Tokens, 20 Levels, Nameplate

The maximum pass level was 120, and the XP needed to level up after Level 70 gradually increased. Pass XP came from daily and weekly missions plus survival time. I liked that daily, weekly, season, and achievement missions also pushed you toward more Spring Fest Tokens and Loot Caches. One note: due to legal regulations, the Crafter Pass was not available in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Workshop Crafting and Token Deadlines

The Workshop was packed. Collect 10 Spring Fest 2025 Loot Cache Fragments to craft one Spring Fest 2025 Loot Cache through Regular Crafting. There were plenty of events to earn those fragments, so checking the January Special Drops announcement was smart.

Special Crafting included 23 craftable items with Spring Fest Tokens. The Medusa - Beryl M762 skins came with special kill effects, which looked absolutely brutal. You could also earn tokens through Special Disassembly by disassembling Imprints from the Spring Fest 2025 Prime Parcel. Timing mattered a lot. The Special Crafting tab was only accessible until its closing date, and tokens expired on PC on March 17 UTC and Console on March 25 UTC. Expired tokens disappeared with no refund or exchange, so I made sure to use them early.

Loot Cache Packs

If you wanted the fastest route to Spring Fest Tokens, the Loot Cache Packs were it.

Prices:

  • x1: 250 G-COIN

  • x11: 2,500 G-COIN

  • x27: 6,250 G-COIN

  • x55: 12,500 G-COIN

No keys were required to open Loot Caches, which was a nice change of pace. Previews were available for all items in the packs, and token expiry dates were displayed right in the Store preview. Again, Belgium and the Netherlands could not purchase the Loot Cache Packs due to legal restrictions.

Event Missions and Reward

The event missions were straightforward if you had the skins:

  • Equip the [PROGRESSIVE] Minotaur - AUG skin.

  • Equip the [PROGRESSIVE] Medusa - Beryl M762 skin.

  • Equip the [PROGRESSIVE] Cerberus - M249 skin.

  • Equip the [PROGRESSIVE] Siren - Pan skin.

Complete those, and you earned the Chamber of Triumph custom lobby skin. That reward is a serious statement piece.

Spring Fest 2025 was a huge celebration, and the Greek mythology theme gave it a strong identity. I'm hoping similar mythic collaborations come back in 2026.

Expert commentary is drawn from Game Developer (Gamasutra), a long-running industry hub that contextualizes how live-service events are built and tuned. Looking at Spring Fest 2025’s layered systems—Contraband Crates with progressive upgrades, a fixed-price Step Up bundle, a mission-driven Crafter Pass, and token-based Workshop crafting—the event reads like a deliberate “multiple funnels” design that serves different player motivations: high-end cosmetic chasing, predictable value purchases, and time-based progression, all reinforced by clear deadlines and conversion loops (vouchers, scrap, fragments, and tokens).
